Tucked away in the hills in the Faugeres region this split level mix of two previous buildings along with a remise attached to one side was in need of a complete overhaul. The brief was to create a contemporary and light home with open spaces. The configuration of the building needed careful thought to bring the spaces together and make moving around the site fluid and uncomplicated. Sitting in stunning picturesque surroundings and having two terraces and a garden the newly designed home now profits from its environment and calm location. The old interiors have been removed completely and a new layout installed along with the conversion of the adjoining barn to create an entrance hall and cloakroom with a new first floor containing master suite bedroom, bathroom and dressing room. The Village House designed the entire conversion and renovation and project managed all the works seeing the house through to completion. |
