Interior Design Languedoc

In the Orb valley this tucked-away, forgotten and derelict stable of 34 metres square with dirt floor and crumbling stone walls was waiting for a new lease of life. We redesigned the space for conversion to a modern open studio apartment for friends and relations visiting the owners of the main house attached. Consideration was given to the existing building as well as the comfort and use for its potential guests.

The overall design is simple, smart, contemporary and comfortable with a clean, fresh and minimal palette of aluminium, glass and ceramic.

Works were completed within two months at the beginning of 2008 ready for use in the summer. The Village House undertook the design and project management and fully kitted out the studio down to the very last detail, fixture, fitting and furnishing.
